How WorkStep helps you find a job in 4 easy steps

Posted by

Looking for a new job is hard work. You pour over job sites to find opportunities (only to have half of them be inactive postings), fill out applications over and over, wait and wonder if anyone’s ever going to get back to you. It sometimes feels like a full time job.

And if you’re someone who works in industries like warehouse operations, trucking, production, or skilled trades, then there aren’t a lot of job sites out there to help with your search.

We get it. That’s why we built WorkStep: the job network for people who make, deliver, load, repair and get things done. Because we wanted to create a better, easier, more thoughtful way to find a job and take the next step in your career.

How easy? Apply-in-four-steps kind of easy.

1. Set up your profile once.

You fill out your profile once and can then use it to apply to as many jobs as you want. It’s worth investing the time to make it detailed and accurate since this is what hiring managers will use to evaluate your application.

While we’re on the topic, we’ve talked to lots of hiring managers to find out what they’re looking for in a candidate. Present yourself in the best light and have your pick of job opportunities.

And, if you have any questions, you can always get in touch with us at

2. Get handpicked jobs delivered straight to you.

Phew. Your profile is filled out. Congrats! The next step is to answer some basic questions that will help us match you with the right jobs.

Here’s how it works. You tell us things like how long you want your commute to be and what your ideal schedule is. We cross-reference this information with jobs that match your skills and deliver them to you in a weekly digest.

3. Apply to lots of jobs with one click.

Once your profile is filled out it’s simple to apply for new opportunities. No need to fill out basic info all over again for each job application. Just answer the employer’s specific screening questions (things like: do you know how to operate a forklift?) and your application is ready to go.

4. Meet your Career Coach.

Most applicants hear if they’ve landed an interview within 48 hours (though you’ll always hear back within 10 days). And, as soon as you start applying to jobs, your WorkStep career coach will be there to help you get over the finish line. They’ll help with things like:

  • Making sure your profile is great before hiring managers see it
  • Scheduling you for job interviews and helping you prep
  • Checking in throughout the job search process (and once you’re on the job) to make sure everything is going well

Last step? Go back to your life. The last thing you want to do in your free time is scour the internet for jobs. We get it. That’s why we’re always working in the background to bring you opportunities that match your skills and preferences.

Apply easier. Get hired faster. We’re here to help you take the next step in your career. Get started now.
