Students who select this course of training can expect training in more than the essential requirements necessary to enter an entry level employment. These student drivers will become knowledgeable in their personal and vehicle limitations under normal and extreme/adverse conditions. These drivers will develop the skills necessary to identify potentially hazardous conditions, and react to the situation with confidence and safety. Students will have a more complete understanding of the way the industry is working and of the driver's responsibilities. Secondary instruction is required and basic paperwork, regulations, and safety awareness helps the student to develop more than the essential knowledge required for that position. Completion of the course is 25 days, approximately five (5) weeks, Five (5) days of training per week. This course has also been developed into a part time course for students who may be working and wish to seek employment in the trucking industry. We offer training three (3) days per week, day and evening classes. Approximately fifteen (15) weeks.
