Shift Supervisor - Day ( Mon-Fri) GENERAL SUMMARY Starting Salary: $65,000 - $75.000 Directs and coordinates activities of associates engaged in picking, placing, loading, and shipping/receiving of alcoholic beverages products. Ensures safety protocols and quality control procedures are enforced. This position currently operates Monday through Thursday with extra shifts as necessary based upon business needs. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Manages the operations and activities of warehouse associates. • Oversees operations, ensuring that schedules and performance requirements are met, and personnel/equipment/system resources are functioning effectively. • Managing staff, and development of warehouse associates. • Enforcing compliance with collective bargaining agreement, administrative policies, procedures, safety rules, and governmental regulations. • Monitoring warehouse facility and equipment for job readiness and safe operations. • Scheduling manpower to match the business needs and accomplish corporate goals. • Conducting weekly safety meetings with warehouse team. Supports Corporate safety initiatives. • Working closely with Manager and above to understand and achieve corporate goals. • Coordinating with other members of leadership to assure a smooth transition between shifts. • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. • Interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; administration of disciplinary action; addressing complaints and resolving problems. • Working flexible hours in order to accomplish goals and objectives. • Basic Microsoft Office computer skills with intermediate level in Excel. • Ability to work well in a changing environment within all levels of the organization. EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree and/or 2-4 years related experience. Experience with Kronos, HRIS and WMS systems preferred. Previous labor relations experience helpful. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: This position will require the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. This position will also require the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. This position will further require the ability to speak effectively before customers, managers, or associates of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: This position will require the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. This position will also require the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs. REASONING ABILITY: This position will require the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. This position will also require the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. EOE/Minorities/Females/Vet/Disability
